AEB says Russian car, LCV sales rise 1.8% to 102,100 cars in Jan

MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) rose by 1.8% on the year to 102,100 vehicles in January, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said in a statement on Thursday.

«Not too bad a start into the new year the ingoing expectations for which have been rather pessimistic,” CEO Joerg Schreiber said, as cited in the statement.

“January sales volume is traditionally the smallest in the year, so we will have to wait and see where the trend goes in the stronger months of February and especially March.»
